What if all you did was take breaths when you should have been walking

What happens when you're not making it?

You stop trying and start losing yourself to everything around you. You don't get it that you can't control the pace, it's always changing. If that's all you do you can't even feel your feet on the ground. The moment that passes and nothing ever comes back. It's time to take notice of the distance between yourself and the next step. It's time you start counting them, they are your breaths and counting your breaths is your destination.

It's time to keep moving and not to stop. Breathe as you step, and step as you breathe. It's all about balance. Breathe and step and when you get tired step backwards, and when you get tired rest. There's no end to the horizon, breathe and step and breathe, step. It's the journey not the destination, breathe and step and breathe, step, it's a journey not a race, you need to breathe and step and breathe. We're not there yet but we have to take a step. It's a journey not a race. You're not there yet but you have to take each step. The moments and weeks that pass and you won't get where you're going by rushing. There's no place to go but you must start somewhere. If you don't know where you're going how will you know the way? What if everything you do is a circle all you do is circle the same and you have no way to break the cycle.

You can only stop at the moment you start. You have to feel the ground under your feet as you step. And step as you breathe, step, step, breathe. Your life was on pause and on fast forward. You weren't breathing but now you're forced to. If that's all you do you run out of breath and run out of steps. Your journey wasn't meant to be this way and time and breathing will not bring you to the destination. You can only breathe as you step. Breathe, you must, step step, inhale, exhale. You're not there yet but you have to take a step. What am I gonna do when I'm not gonna move?
